The Green Palette Kitchen resides in Southport, CT yet was actually founded many years ago, in my tiny NYC apartment. When I graduated from cooking school, I began my career helping people heal their physical and emotional issues through food. I began teaching cooking lessons as a way to translate healing foods into everyday cooking that would be easy for my clients.
The kitchen has moved with me – to my home kitchen in Connecticut, where I taught classes, and now to my beautiful space in a unique renovated warehouse where I teach on Zoom and in-person. Moreover, my philosophy has always been the same: food can be powerful medicine. Use real nourishing food to heal mind, body and soul. Most important, food and cooking can be fun!
Magic happens in my kitchen. My clients learn to transform their fear of cooking, or overwhelm from a newly diagnosed health issue, into a feeling of true confidence and empowerment. We play, experiment with spices, taste and eat. When you learn some basic skills, and can feel at ease, cooking becomes easy and pleasurable.
The Green Palette Kitchen is here for online private cooking lessons, group cooking classes, corporate events, fun recipe clubs and when we reopen, VIP private dinner parties. Community meets wellness through public events and other healthful workshops at the Kitchen online and in our adjacent meeting space, that include ladies night “mocktail” events and pop-up dinners.
My official titles run the gamut: from nutrition coach to cooking instructor to dynamic speaker. More important I am a wife, busy mom to three children and a woman who works hard, Needless to say, I want to know I’m eating well to support my energy and health.
As a nutritionist, I know all about the science of nutrition, how to dispel myths over the latest diets and coach you on living your best life and health. As a culinary nutritionist, I live by my philosophy of food as medicine. It’s my mission to make my simply healthy food taste great.
I fell in love with cooking as a way to translate nutrition information into real world living and I find nothing better than to show people how to love real nutritious food too. Sharpening your knife, donning an apron and chopping carrots is an essential part of learning how to eat well so you can be well.
Knowing how to make simple, healthy food taste great is a skill. Delicious food makes you wanting to come back for more. It’s entirely possible to do this, no matter where you are at with cooking. Most of all, I want you to know to make your food taste amazing.
